Program Calendar
The academic year at The Art of Piano studio is divided into two semesters starting in August and January and a flexible summer session. If there are openings available, new students may begin lessons after the term has begun and their tuition will be adjusted.
Each private lesson incudes an additional 30-minute or longer session in the student computer lab immediately after or before the lesson.
The lesson schedule is made right after the registration deadline for each term, based on students’ preferences and teacher availability. Exact lesson days and times will not be available until scheduling is completed. Weekly lessons take place on weekdays. Students who register after scheduling day must choose lessons times from those still available.
Summer Session 2023
Registration deadline for continuing students: Friday, May 12, 7 p.m.*
Term begins: Thursday, July 6
Term ends: Wednesday, August 16
Number of weeks in term: 7 (Monday-Wednesday only, except on week 1, which is Thursday-Friday only)
The summer session is flexible: students may sign up for any number of lessons.

Fall Semester 2023
Pre-registration deadline for continuing students: Friday, May 12, 7 p.m.*
Registration deadline: Wednesday, August 16, 5 p.m.*
Semester schedule available: Friday, August 18
Term begins: Monday, August 21
Labor Day Holiday: Monday, September 4
Thanksgiving Break: Tuesday-Friday, November 21-24
Term ends: Friday, December 22
Number of weeks in term: 18
Number of weekly lessons in term: 17

Spring Break: Monday-Friday, April 1-5 (matches Rochester schools and Springfield School District 186)
Term ends: Friday, May 31
